Compassionate Disability Support

At Hellenic Healthcare, we don’t just provide disability support, we offer care rooted in compassion, dignity, and family values. Born from lived experience, our mission is to walk alongside you with empathy and purpose, ensuring every individual receives the support they truly deserve.

“Family is not just part of this journey — it’s the reason for it.”

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank my incredible husband, our beautiful children, my brother, sister-in-law, and our beautiful nephew. Your unconditional love, strength, and selfless support made this dream possible.

Together, we walked through some of life’s hardest and most meaningful moments, caring for our beloved grandparents with compassion and dignity. The way each of you gave so much of yourselves will forever stay with me.

This journey, this business, this legacy — it belongs to all of us.
Thank you for holding me up, every step of the way.

Why Choose Hellenic Healthcare?

We’re not a generic provider and we never will be. Hellenic Healthcare was created from real-life experience caring for family, not from a business plan. That personal journey showed us just how powerful genuine, compassionate support can be when people feel truly seen and heard.

Our commitment is simple: to provide honest, respectful, person-centred care that feels personal. We take the time to understand each person’s story and work alongside them to create support that fits not just on paper, but in real life.

More Than A Service, A Personal Legacy

Hellenic Healthcare was born from a deeply personal journey of caring for loved ones through some of life’s most challenging moments. After supporting both her grandfather and grandmother through illness and palliative care, our founder experienced first hand the difference genuine, compassionate support can make and how painful it can be when that support is missing. These experiences sparked a powerful calling to create something better: a disability support service built on love, dignity, and real understanding. At Hellenic Healthcare, this isn’t just work, it’s a legacy, a mission, and a heartfelt promise to treat every individual and family with the respect and care they deserve.

A Message From Our Founder

“This business is my legacy which is inspired by the love and care I was blessed to share with my grandparents. After seeing both the challenges and the beauty of supporting them, I knew my purpose was to create something meaningful for others. At Hellenic Healthcare, we’re building more than a service. We’re building a community rooted in love, dignity, and real support where no family is ever left to feel alone.”

What People Say About Us

At Helenic Health Care, the greatest measure of our success is the feedback we receive from participants and their families. Every review reflects the care, dedication, and compassion our team puts into supporting individuals every day.

Navigating care and support options for our elderly mother who has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, has been an uphill battle. There is no shortage of providers out there who claim to provide care that is person centred; tailored to the unique requirements of the individual. Often, the standard of care does not match the rhetoric. What set Janine and Hellenic Healthcare apart for us, was the willingness to take the time to understand the gravity of this moment in our Mother’s life and the impact it was likely to have on all of us moving forward. Acknowledging her life story became the foundation upon which a strong care relationship could be built; one that went far beyond the meeting of needs to celebrating our Mother’s unique and enduring spirit. We realised during this difficult time that what’s most important is the sense of partnership. No one has all the answers all the time and with our Mother’s fluctuating needs, the ability to ‘shift gears’ and take turns at wheel provided much needed respite for all of us, while maintaining the desired standard of care. Hellenic Healthcare does not claim to have all the answers, no one does. But what it does have is an unwavering resolve to monitor our Mother’s fluctuating needs and provide flexible care and support that is in line with best practice and evidence-based research. The most comforting aspect of having Janine and Hellenic Healthcare in our corner is knowing that our family values are not just understood, they are actively aligned and strengthened with every care interaction. For us, the road ahead is now far less daunting. We are able to really ‘live’ life and celebrate our Mother’s journey in a proactive, sensitive and dignified manner.

For some people, caring for others is a chore. For others, it’s a task that they take on with good intentions but nonetheless reluctantly. For Janine, caring for others is more than a vocation, it is intrinsic to who she is as a human being. The essence of caring is a kind heart and a strong will. In my time in healthcare I have not come across a person so committed to championing the less fortunate. Always present, ever attentive, and consciously lifting up those around her, Janine epitomises what caring for others is really all about, spirited unselfishness. In my role as a healthcare educator, I have come across many different students, most with good intentions. Some begin strongly and fade out. Some reach a moderate level of intensity early and maintain this from beginning to end. Many are reluctant or unable to reveal their true selves over the journey and find themselves unsure of their path moving forward — but Janine moved through the experience with authenticity and heart, emerging not only certain of her path, but ready to light the way for others

I met Janine when she began helping my 77-year-old mother, who was living at home with dementia and had no family nearby. From the outset, Janine stood out – in the best possible way. Other helpers were capable and kind, but Janine consistently went above and beyond. She showed initiative and took thoughtful actions that made a real difference in helping me manage my mum’s care from another city. For example, Janine suggested a digital calendar clock she’d seen help others with Mum’s type of Alzheimer’s – and it made a real difference. She also took responsibility for getting Mum’s prescriptions filled and recommended using Webster packs, taking another load off my mind. While others might wait for direction, Janine understood that dementia had robbed Mum of the ability to ask for help. She spoke with both Mum and me, sought approval when needed, and simply got things done – from purchasing essentials to managing day-to-day needs. What started as a few hours of support soon doubled, and then doubled again, because she was simply that good. For her initiative, reliability, empathy, and the genuine care she showed both Mum and me – right up to helping with the transition into aged care – I will be eternally thankful. Janine’s key strengths include: On time, reliable, and hardworking Trustworthy and dependable Proactive and takes initiative Friendly, empathetic, and a great listener Excellent communicator – with both client and family Flexible and realistic in her approach Thank you, Janine, for being a helpful, smiling force of nature.
